Franz has over 35 years of leadership and management experience, most of which he gained at the Hilti Group, where he held various financial and executive roles on three continents, most recently as the CFO of the Hilti Group. In 2013, he initiated the 'Hilti Lab for Integrated Performance Management,' a collaboration between the Hilti Group and the University of St. Gallen to improve knowledge transfer between academia and practice in the field of corporate management and control. Froom 2017 to 2025 Franz was Chairman of the Telecom Liechtenstein and since June 2025 he is chairman of LTIN a newly founded Public/Privat Partnership Organization of Telecom Liechtenstein. In addition, he is an independent business consultant, multi-board member, and investor. Franz holds a master’s degree in Social and Economic Sciences from Karl-Franzens-University in Graz and a PhD-Degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen (HSG)."
