Michael Healy is a software engineer, investor and entrepreneur based between New York, London, Hong Kong, Dubai, and soon getting a place in San Francisco too. Singaporean, Irish, and British.
Been building web apps since the mid-2000s, mobile apps since the launch of the iPhone(2007), and working in crypto since 2010.
Michael created the Wikileaks Android app when the governments froze our bank accounts/visa/mastercard donation channels and led the Bitcoin fundraiser, getting into bitcoin at $0.09.
Founded and sold a peer-to-peer encrypted video conferencing platform with several million users, started a coding school that supported the introduction of coding into the UK curriculum, and was on the founding team of two major co-living communities in Bali.
Worked at Wellington Partners(€800m fund, seed investors in Spotify) and rebuilt internal systems for the Founders Forum.
Now leading Unit Network and Unit Ventures, focused on building and investing in a new economy with decentralised infrastructure for tokenising businesses and making crypto-powered crowdfunding accessible and mainstream. Along the lines of a global stock market for every business/person where everyone can be an owner/investor.
